What are Psychometric Assessments

Psychometric Assessment & Testing refers to the assessment of personality, ability, attitude, motivation, interest, needs, emotional intelligence, among others.

When assessing a person’s suitability for a given position, relying on their CV or interview alone can lead to costly errors of judgement. Assessing personality gives an objective indication of a person’s workplace behaviour, ability to adapt, and their potential to succeed in a role.

All of our assessments are classified psychological tests and all our administrators are registered with the HPCSA. To ensure fair and objective testing, all our assessments are valid and reliable for use in South Africa and on an international basis. The assessments measure reliably what it intends to measure – and it also predicts performance. Psychometric assessment in South Africa is controlled by the following legislation:

1) Constitution of the Republic of South Africa (Act 108 of 1996),
2) The Labour Relations Act (66 of 1995), and the
3) Employment Equity Act (55 of 1998).
4) Health Professions Act (56 of 1974)
